Altamura Giuseppe Farm, located in the heart of the lush Piana del Sele, covers an area of over 30 hectares and specializes in greenhouse production of leafy vegetables and in nursery activities for the production of edible flowers and potted seedlings, following innovative and sustainable methods.

The company, dedicated to the protected agriculture sector for about thirty years and with an agricultural tradition of over 4 generations of constant commitment aimed at ensuring the highest quality of production, has gradually embarked on a path of growth and corporate qualification, taking care of every single phase of the production, processing, and distribution process, introducing innovations in production, harvesting, and packaging techniques.

Currently, it is part of the Producers' Organization called O.P. Altamura Società Agricola Consortile a Responsabilità Limitata.

The cropping system, increasingly aimed at a high degree of specialization, involves careful management of the land starting from soil preparation; in cultivation, the company stands out for a high degree of mechanization and a specialized operational capacity with a high technological profile, while in distribution, alongside sales to wholesalers and deliveries to the P.O. as required by current regulations, an exclusive direct sales service has been introduced, aimed at shortening the supply chain, designed to bring the best fresh products directly to consumers' tables.

The flagship of the company's production is RUCOLA DELLA PIANA DEL SELE I.G.P. certified by DQA (DIPARTIMENTO QUALITÀ AGROALIMENTARE) S.R.L.

The company has introduced on part of its land organic farming methods certified by the control body BIOS s.r.l. and has adhered to international standards for good agricultural practices, to meet the growing needs for food safety and respect for the environment, sustainability, and worker safety, obtaining various certifications including GLOBALGAP, GLOBALG.A.P. RISK ASSESSMENT ON SOCIAL PRACTICE (GRASP), ON THE WAY TO PLANETPROOF. In addition to these voluntary certifications, it has adopted the environmental certification ISO 14001, which is an important process certification for the company's internal environmental sustainability system.
